    Review your tests and your total, then pay in about a minute. If you came from the quiz, you’ll add your details after you pay.

  2. After you pay

    Your lab order arrives

    We send it by email and to your portal. Our marker library tags many tests that need fasting or timing. Not sure about yours? Contact us before your draw.

  3. When it suits you

    Visit a Quest lab

    Visit any of the 2,250+ Quest lab locations, often the same day. Bring a photo ID. The visit takes about 15 minutes.

  4. About 5 days*

    Get your results

    We’ll email you when they’re available in your portal.

Good to know before you start

How much does it cost?

It depends on the tests you choose. You pay per test, with no minimum, and most tests show their price on our All tests page. Baseline labs are free, and you’ll see your total before you pay.

Should I take the quiz or create an account?

Take the quiz if you’re not sure which tests you need. It suggests a panel based on how you’ve been feeling. Create an account if you already know what you’d like to test. Either way, there’s nothing to pay until checkout.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. Under IRS rules, lab tests are generally eligible for HSA and FSA funds. Use your HSA or FSA card at checkout like any other payment card.

Do I need insurance or a referral?

No. EllaDx is self-pay, so you don’t need insurance, and you don’t need a referral or a visit with your own doctor.

Do I need an appointment at Quest?

No. Most Quest Diagnostics locations take walk-ins. Bring your lab order and a photo ID, or book a time with Quest if you prefer.

How long do results take?

Most results are ready within 5 days, and many arrive in 3 to 4 days. Some advanced tests can take up to 21 days. Your results appear in your portal together, once every test in your order is back, and we email you when they’re ready.

Can I order again later?

Yes. Order again from your portal whenever you like. There’s no subscription, and your results stay side by side so you can compare them over time.
